Existing product research
Helping to give us a better idea of documentaries, a combination of researching and analysing had went on with two chosen Netflix. With the information found, I was able to learn the different aspects that could go into documentary, and pinch what I believe would work with my project.
The first documentary I had worked on was 'The Movies That Made Us'. Before the brief was announced I had already sat through episodes of this series and quite enjoyed it, then after going through the brief, this was the first to come to mind for me to write about. Thinking about as well, my idea is focusing on the film industry so lucky for me, the choice fits.
As for the second, 'The Social Dilemma'. I had never actually seen nor of this documentary before this brief, but as it came to choosing my other documentary to analyse I thought it would be best to go ahead with one that focuses on the impact of social media. This one in particular kept being mentioned from time to time since the brief was given to us, so I gave it a go and went ahead with it. Quite enjoyed it to.
