Brief structure

 Getting my Pre-Production started for the documentary, I learnt that with a documentary itself, the script needs to be created last. So, avoiding that, I decided to make more of a structure based script. Gathering my topics, and writing what can be said about them sticking to the brief. At least with that document, I know what will get said, and what else will be placed within the duration period.

A finalised script will be put together once ready.


Having a brief script, I also needed to gather existing footage that I believe would fit in with each topic. Bonusing me as well, I have it all there ready to choose from rather than trying to piece everything together without knowing what existing footage and research I could include to back up any points. This also helped me gather more research as to what to talk about, expanding the range of conversations.

Audience research

 Needing to find and know my target audience, a survey was created and sent around to people I knew that are within the age group I need to work towards attracting. That way with the survey, it helps to specify the interest and knowledge as such, helping me create an outcome they would be more happy with.
